First of I want to let everyone know that this is "Choreboy" but I have had my user name changed to "Balls Out Morphs" to go along with the little company my 7 year old son and I started.
I have completley changed diet and am hitting the gym before work Mon-Fri. I have lost about 18lbs over the last 4 weeks and am feeling great!!!

I think I'm a little late, but I'll give it a shot. I'm currently 190 which is the most I've ever weighed. The last time I tried losing weight was 5-6 years ago when I went from 185-150 in about 4-5 weeks. It was unhealthy and I won't be doing that again. I'm not even going to diet much this time. I'm starting P90X today so I'm hoping that torture combined with increased cardio 3-5 times a week will remove the need to starve myself.

Wow, I missed this thread since my absence. Good idea! I'm a little late in the game, but I still have a lot of work to do, so sign me up. I left this site in October due to health issues that stemmed from my weight, smoking and alcoholism. I was in a bad place and didn't need any distractions. I was 253 pounds in October when I was admitted to the hospital for heart problems and I have since lost about 50 pounds, quit smoking, quit drinking and gotten a handle on my blood pressure. I still have 20 pounds left to go. I'd like to get that off by our vacation this June. Let's go!

Re: Lose 20lbs and help BP.net!!
I know i'm a day late and a dollar short but i want to join y'all too. My doc has ordered me to lose 50lbs for my blood pressure sake, my borderline diabetes sake and my poor back! I'm at 210 the heaviest i've been in my whole life. I had my thyroid checked and i'm on meds for it. I've been in the gym 4 days a week 1 hour a day...sometimes 2 hours since September of 2011. I watch my food intake as well but since my thyroid is so stinkin slow i haven't lost anything as of yet. Hopefully i'll see some results soon. Good Luck all.

Just found this thread recently, as I'm new to the site as well. So unfortunately, I'm a bit behind, but I'll post anyway.
Recently switched from a super active job that had me walking to and from work to... a desk job. I literally must be by my phone all day and cannot wander around, and there are no stairs in this building. It is honestly driving me a bit crazy with frustration. I went from hovering around 135lbs at 5'6" to being closer to 160lbs... And I might have even broken that line too.
Definitely feeling discouraged lately on the topic.
But I'm finally in a place where I feel both in control and motivation to change things up. I used to do weights in my home back in the day, but I've since moved and have no room for this type of set-up. Which just leaves me with... gym time. I think that's the most difficult part. Getting up the confidence to step into that gym and try to do my work-outs when I'm already feeling vulnerable.
If I post this here, I feel like I'll have a bit more drive and motivation. Now you guys all know my 'secret'. I'm over 160lbs... My jeans don't fit anymore. I've never felt so insecure about my looks before. So... I'm hoping that I can change that, starting with putting this out there for you guys to see.

hey guys! Just wanted to touch base and I see that a few of you have hit the 20lb mark! You guys are friggen awesome!!
I am down 13 lbs, and I am going to seriously buckle down for June and hit that target. You guys are inspiring me. I haven't been very devoted this month. My grandmother passed and I took it pretty hard. The funeral is tomorrow so I am hoping it helps me move forward so i can start to focus on my goals again, and join all of you who have done an amazing job!
I am sorry i haven't been posting as much as I had hoped - it's been a difficult year so far and things seem to be falling apart around me. hahah - I try to be a man of my word and it hurts me to know that I have been lax about touching base.. I will hit the 20lb mark, even if i have to cut off a limb to do it hahaha. I hope to offer ya'll a lively thread from this point on.
Keep up the great work!
chris.

thank you for sharing with us! I know that disappointing feeling. went from 190lbs at 6'6 with a 32inch waist to 265lbs with a 42 inch waist! There isn't a day that goes by where i don't feel insecure about myself, even after i dropped 3 sizes to 38 inches. The mindset I try to keep is that my opinion is the only one that matters.. No I am not happy with myself, but I have the power to change that. And what other people think is irrelevant. They can't change me, only i can change me, only i have control of my life. Once you honestly 100% believe in that, the feeling of power and motivation is amazing! Good luck on attaining your goals! If you truly want it nothing can stop you!
