Here's my boy, rescued from a pet shop that specialises in killing snakes. Sorry about the crappy pic, he's still settling in and obviously hasn't been handled much.

He was a former pet sold off to this pet shop (walk in, "Hey, you wanna buy my snake? I'm bored of him." "Sure!") that I heard about through my local grapevine. This is the same place that the two deathly ill corn snakes (one now deceased) were given to me. So when I say I "rescued" him... I really did, he would have been dead in a month. Thanks for sucking the joy out of the moment anyway.

Just being honest, me personally would not support the store selling "deathly ill" of anything.

I was GIVEN the sick snakes. GIVEN FOR FREE. NOT SOLD. I AM NOT A MORON. Also by your logic, the snake who, by no fault of his own, ended up in such a place should be left there to die his inevitable death at the hands of ACTUAL morons for fear of "supporting that awful pet store". I don't support this store, but I will not allow things like business economics and absurd self righteousness stop me from helping any animal in need. FURTHERMORE, the store in question has been reported to local veterinarians and authorities for the appalling care of the animals on the premises, which is FAR MORE than most of the high-and-mighty on this forum would be bothered to do.
