Yeah, it sucked--I'm pretty skinny so there was practically no fat whatsoever. 115 pounds on a heavy day lol so OW!!!! The needle kept vibrating through my ribs and boy did it burn. Kinda like what I'd imagine if someone took a blowtorch to you. :/
I'm excited for the color though.
The lady parts did hurt pretty good too. The needle went right in between the tissue in the breast area and that's pretty sensitive, but I made it! I'm so pleased with myself. My boyfriend loves the heck out of this tattoo lol and I'm happy also. But no rush to go do it again...

The coloring parts will not hurt as bad as the out line,The gruoping of the needles used is different so it changes how it feels when it enters the skin.
I just finished up a clients ribs last week(been doing alot of ribs lately)and she was alittle reluctent after the outline but she sat very well for the shading.

I have been working on my ribs/side for the last 2 months. I currently have the outline done and half of it shaded. I'm having it done in grays only so no color. I thought that it bit a little, but it was no wear as bad as I thought that it would be.

Nice tattoos! I think the lady who did mine pressed pretty hard so maybe that is why it hurt so bad. I hope the shading is better. Looking forward to getting it done but no rush!

Sorry to go completely off topic but...

    Spitting image?

Back on track, I have a large rib piece too. And no, it's not exactly fun. I went in for a 6 hour sitting, and the very next day I went in again to finish the outline and start some color.

Lucky for you, the shading really is a lot easier to sit though
