ok Soaking can stress out your snake and apparently you as well

try to keep it at a minimum. As long as you are attentive and make sure he doesn't stay under too long and only put just enough water in to do the job.
Lol its okay i see you posting every where, got the answer to everything!

And yes I do keep it to a minimum I just don't like feeding the next meal without a poop as they can get "backed up" And feedings tommorrow

Almost none of mine poo that regularly. some will only poo after a shed. nothing to worry about and not worth stressing out your Bp by soaking in my opinion.

let it go maybe that's just what it wants to do. maybe that's is where it finds its freedom. from the cages we put them in... in the end we just THINK we are right for keeping them in captivity.

Wtf? Whats up with all the sarcastic bs posts?
The op was asking a good question and you reply with some bs about his snake wanting to drown itself...

My big female eats weekly and sometimes only poops once a month. They will go when they need to, no need to help it along unless you start seeing complications (haven't gone in several months, small bloody stools etc)

    Re: Soaking.

6 days really isn't a big deal. I wouldn't soak him for that. My snakes go weeks between poops. Also don't worry too much about sticking his head underwater when you do soak him, they can hold their breath a long time. I think 30 minutes? I actually read a story on here about a snake who survived the washing machine!
