The way I used a few weeks ago was the NIX head lice shampoo method. This is what you should do:
1) buy nix lice shampoo and a gallon of distilled water
2) pour the small bottle of nix into the water and shake it up until the nix is mixed evenly (this can take a while because the nix is thick)
3) take your snake out and soak it in warm water with a drop of dawn dish soap
4) while it is soaking clean your enclosure with bleach or dawn dish soap and hot water.
5) put the nix in a spray bottle and spritz it all over the enclosure (inside, outside, table or rack it sits on, and the floor and walls around the table or rack) Let it dry for a few mins.
6) take your snake out and dry it off. Then spray the nix on the snake too. This is the main difference between this method and PAM. PAM should NEVER go on the snake.
7) return the snake to enclosure and wait a week or two. If no mites then awesome. If a few make it do it all over again until their gone.
Like I said this worked for me like a charm. I'm trying to spread the word on nix. Buy it at your local pharmacy for like 12 bux instead of the 30 you will spend on Pam. Also nix is much more common. Hope this helps.

lol that I have in stock! I have four kids and I'm fearful of bugs, my worst nightmare would be to find out they have lice at 9pm and the pharmacy is closed! So even though we haven't had lice yet, there is always a box in my house!
