    Yes, I know many people who use cypress from pet stores. My local reptile shop has somewhere around 70 tubs that have cypress in them. I currently own 2 snakes that were in that rack and they are perfectly healthy

    I use Coconut Husk bought in bricks, it's the only thing that I haven't had an allergic reaction to and it holds humidity great for me. I have to buy two for my 55gal, but if you have a smaller tank you can easily get away with one.

    Eco earth works great for humidity. You can always add water to make it more moist, at shed time or as needed.
