Re: What do you collect???
I collected sets of a game called Heroclix for about 2-3 years. Then they changed how the game worked so I quit playing and quit collecting. I have several hundred dollars worth of them in a closet.
Now I just collect snakes.

Was that the one with all the hexagonal pieces? With figures sorta like D&D?
If so me and my brother had quite a bit of them and liked the game too.

The pieces have round bases and were played on a square grid map at the time I played. Each piece had a set of stats. Each time the piece took damage, you turned a dial or "licked" it and the stats changed. Damage it enough times and the piece is destroyed and removed from play.
It's still around - http://www.heroclix.com/
They started throwing cards into the game like it was Yugi-oh or something. Then they made the first generation set unplayable.
I think I have 5 or 6 full sets including LE pieces and convention only items. My most prized was a convention only giant Galactus piece that came with a Silver Surfer piece. Paid $100 for it at Dragoncon around 2003 or so. Goes for $400 or so on Ebay.

Let's see, Dragons and Cookbooks have already been covered - I think I also collect Munchkin games... mostly because no one ever wants to play, but I can't resist collecting them all!
Waaaaay back in college I used to work at a candle boutique, but we also had a lot of collectibles. I bought several larger dragons that were finished in gold at a big discount and they are still my prized pieces. They are beautiful, but I think the company has gone out of business now...
Mostly Leos and Cresties, but also
1.0 Human (wild caught next door, but taming nicely)

If I had the money, I would too. I'm a huge fangirl with a small SW collection I hope to expand someday with a specialized room(s). Maybe even a house.
(have you seen the Korean Star Wars themed house. It's so amazing)

I didn't see that. I have a subscription to Star Wars Insider Magazine and there was a story about a dude that made a bunch of massive scene dioramas from diffferent movies using legos. They looked really awesome.
I helped make Lucas a lot of money. I bought the VHS when it came out, the DVDs when they came out, and the BluRays when they came out. Crap I'm such a sucker. I'm such a nerd too, I have a lightsaber hilt that I display but not too much of a nerd that I dress up in Star Wars costumes... I just collect the stuff.
