Rack FINALLY Shipped out! (Question inside)

So excited, We finally got the tracking numbers for our new hatchling rack From Animal Plastics. (Iris330, 15 shelf/45 tub), and looks like we will go with one more from them the Iris 375, 12 shelf one, But due to the extended time in the manufacturing, we are pondering going with the Freedom Breeder racks, and using the AP ones as Quarantine/On-Reserve if we switch over. price seems to be right about on par if we were to order 3 individual AP ones. and with a bum shoulder moving the AP's may not be in my best interests. yes, i know they have casters, but they may be relocated and lifting them will be needed and the break down of the FB seems more optimal for me.

Ok so my question is this to anyone who has the Freedom Breeder CB70 Complete (30 Cages). how long was the ship time from the time payment was made till you had them on your porch?, AP took 5 weeks. and if you do own one what ventilation type are you using, standard, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%, i am thinking 50% but just wish to hear others on this one.

    Thanks

You need to call Jeff or Lindy at FB and ask them. Ship time will depend on if they have the racks in stock or need to fabricate them.

Shipping for FB is different than AP or any other plastic cage. They are heavier and the fees are therefore higher.

Ventilation type will depend on the humidity of the room you are keeping them in.

I did shoot over an E-mail in regards to them asking about shipping lead times. but i wanted to hear from others as well, mainly on their experiences with them, (did they give an accurate ETA on shipping time, was it delayed, or extended without notice, where you informed at time of purchase of any delays, informed along the process, Etc) and this is far from a thread dogging a company. I am used to building them myself, but the misses wants the pre-fabbed so thats what we are going for. Thanks for the suggestion on the room humidity, have not checked that, only the tubs they are in.

I live 10 minutes from the owner. I order the rack, it's either in stock or he tells me it will be a week or two, then I pick them up at his house.

Again, call either Jeff or Lindy and ask if they have the frames, the heat panels and the tubs in stock.

Unlike some of the plastic rack builders FB and ARS often have all the tubs, panels and frames already made. I've been to their facility (FB) and have seen the inventory.

Skip, which do you personally prefer - FB or ARS?? (As far as the product goes - I'm not worried about lead times yet, lol....)

Because I'm on the East Coast, I ordered ARS to save some on shipping. You really can't go wrong with either FB or ARS.
