Now I'm 28, I'm happily married, and although certain aspects of that still remain I've been able to overcome most of it. It was totally ridiculous and basically taught guys how to come off as complete d-bags and only attract shallow women which wasn't what I was interested in doing.
I was the least confident guy you'd ever meet in high school and college, but once you get a little more confidence in yourself and feel comfortable in your own head it gets easier. Stop the self-analysis over everything and just be yourself.

I have found that when I don't think about it so much and just do it, talking to girls is actually very easy and not at all scary like I make it seem when I over analyze the situation lol

This whole thread, it's obvious that you spend too much time way over thinking things and you're making yourself nervous. Just talk man...most women will respond kindly in one way or another, though far less will actually be receptive. It's just how it is, so the more you talk, the more you're putting the odds in your favor of being talked back to. No offense, but you being 20 and talking about picking up and moving to another country near a girl you've been talking to via internet for 3 months is just plain crazy. Relax, don't think about things beyond the initial conversation, and roll with it as it goes. Too much thought and looking beyond now is only going to put pressure on yourself and you're gonna screw up. You'll know if/when things need to be taken up a notch.
