    to make a humid hide you put a moisture holding substrate such as sphagnum moss or eco-earth in the bottom of any hide. the idea is to make a localized area of high humidity inside the hide.

    Humid hides should not be used all of the time because if your snake stays in it all of the time there is a high chance that your snake will get scale rot. humid hides are a great tool during shed, but can be dangerous the rest of the time.

    So I should only put it in there during shed?
