Are my temperatures good?
just got a new cinnamon BP and whole new set up for him.
29 long tank (glass)
during the day im running 92.5 under the hot side hide and 80.2 under cold side hide. I have a basking temp at 90. (he always is on cold side during the day). At night i have the hot side heated with a head pad set with a thermostat at 90 degrees under his hide. (this is where I find him every morning when i wake up) and on the cool side at night its kept at about 73 degrees. My humidity is always in between 50% and 70%.
are these conditions ideal or do i need to make changes?

There's really no reason to drop temps at night. It can stay the same temp 24 hrs a day.
How are you checking the temps and humidity?

I have 2 probe thermometers one probe in the hot hide and one in cold hide. and one hygrometer in the center mounted on wall. Should i switch to a ceramic bulb for day and night time use and plug it up to my thermostat as well? I also have an 18 inch tube light for daytime use.

Everything sounds good. But the night drops are unnecessary.

From the sound of it, OP has a heat lamp to bump the heat up during the day. They're probably using an incandescent bulb, which produces heat AND light, so it does have to go off at night, and that's why the temps are lower at night.
Am I right?

I wouldn't use a heat emitter, an infrared heat bulb works better and can be left on 24/7

Your set-up sounds fine. As stated a night drop is not necessary. There also is nothing wrong with utilizing one.
How is an infrared bulb better than a heat emitter? A ceramic heat emitter can also be used 24/7 and the put off no light and last much much longer than bulbs.

Most heat emitters put off way too much heat unless it is being used with a dimmer or thermostat. a 75 watt infrared heat bulb in my experience won't get terribly hot even running full blast 24/7. CHE are also very hard on the lamps due to how hot that they get.

EVERY type of heat source should be able to be regulated. Either with a dimmer ( cheap) or a t-stat. To just recommend running x wattage wide open is reckless. I would have to recommend to anyone using any type of bulb to use " domes" with a ceramic base. Cheap domes with plastic bases are cheap and not up to the task that us reptile keepers need.

I'm talking about the ceramic domes.
All a light dimmer does is turn down the amount of power being used. It is no less "reckless" than running a bulb full blast if the bulb already doesn't put too much heat out. I agree that heat sources should be regulated, but it takes a thermostat to do so. you must have a system that bases the power output based on a measured temperature otherwise it is the exact same thing as running a heat source full blast.
