Frozen/Thawed feeders....what is YOUR method for defrosting?

So far (crosses fingers) I have not had a problem switching my 2 ball pythons to frozed/thawed. I usually fill my bathroom sink (don't tell my wife) with hot water and let them soak for 5-10 minutes, then dry them with a paper towel.

Well now my snakes are getting bigger and I have 2 (possibly 3) new ball pythons coming this week. I don't think that I want to use the sink anymore. I was thinking of getting a 2.5 gallon bucket and dedicating it to rat defrosting.

What methods do you guys use?

I pull mine out of the freezer the night before and stick them in the fridge. I then use an old 10 gallon tank to warm them up in warm not hot water. I then heat/dry them off with a hair dryer unit they are between 97 and 100 degrees.

My apartment is at about 75-80 so I just take them out and wait from them to reach room temperature. This has been extremely successful for me, the only one who won't eat this way is one of my pastels who prefers live prey.

People are always posting repeat questions. The question about what does 1.4.5 mean gets asked all the time, it's just part of a forum. Threads would get way to long if people just kept posting on them and it can be hard to read through 10 pages of responses.

I do pretty much the same thing except I put it in a large ziploc freezer bag and weigh it down in the warm water so I don't need to dry it off. And the sink doesn't smell like warm, dead rat afterwards Also I reuse the same bag, just rinse it every once in a while and let it dry out for next time I only have one snake so one rat is nothing, but those freezer bags could hold alot of rats and a bathtub would work just as well for someone with many mouths to feed at once

I have a designated cup to put them in the refrigerator overnight, and then I have a designated pot that I use to warm them in. I warm up some water on the stove and put the rat in just to warm it, 'cause it's already been thawed in the fridge. Oh yeah, I also do put them into ziplocs first. Kind of freaks my guests out when I say "help yourself to a drink!" and there's dead rat sitting there on the shelf next to my eggs, but I don't mind it a bit.

I put however many I need for the day in a ziplock and let them get to room temp, then I hit them with a hair dryer for 30-45 seconds.

I pull them out of the freezer in the morning and place them in dedicated tupperware containers and let them defrost for a couple of hours. I then poke them with forceps to check and see if they are soft then hit them with the blow dryer for a minute or 2 to get the boys all excited with the scent.

15qt tub, rats in tub, 115F water added for 30 mins
Dump water add 115F water again 30 mins

Dump once more 100F water added soaked for 5 mins then i feed
