I would get a hide for it. It sounds as if it is stresses (cruising) and just keeps going in and put of the bowl resulting in everything getting soaked. Get it a hide and it should stop being so restless. I would also move the bowl away from the corners/edges. They tend to roam the perimeter of the enclosure, so just move it out of the path.
