Great looking snakes, thanks for sharing! Good luck with the pairing, I hope you produce some sweet, silver pieds!

Awesome sandblast! Is there any YB in it?

I think like the Urban Camo super pewter, the het pied is causing the differance. Thinking it expresses itself even in the het form to cause the "sandblast" look. Man I wish these were Black Pastel pewters, I would soooooo jump into this project when you let one go. And I don't even like pieds that much.

I wondered the same thing a couple of years ago. I haven't noticed any YBs though. I do thinks it's more than just the pied gene though....but also believe they are both visual hets.

Brandon, you didn't happen to be at the Taylor MI show today did you? I was there and saw a couple of nice pewters at one table and they made me think of yours. But it didn't dawn on me that it could possibly be you so I didn't stop to talk to the guy. It it was you, darn! I missed a chance to meet you! Anyhow, just wondered....

It almost looks like the Sandblast has some "white out" genes in there.

Kali, it was not me. I was in Alabama on Saturday. Wish you had taken some pics of those snakes. My band will be in Lansing next month though.

I haven't seen the whiteout stuff so I can't say....not to mention the uproar they caused a few months ago. Any pics? I haven't introduced any new blood into this project. My original animals were a pied I produced in 05 and a pewter from Paul Wyble from 06. I should prove some other things with the project this season....hopefully.
