I realize that now, I didn't read it correctly when I responded. Most parasites are sadly pretty easy to get.

The BHB thing I am tired of. The posters whom have had direct dealings with BHB have the right to comment on the experience they have had but the 'My brothers cousin's uncle' tails are the really obnoxious part. Sharing an experience good bad or other wise I have no issue with but 'bashing' for the sake of bashing is unhelpful and a waste of time, especially when there is no first hand experience behind the comments.

Bhb is one if the best you can buy from, and it's going to happen regardless some time.. mites are easy to get as bed bugs. I watch their videos all the time and I like them a lot. I'm not going to turn my nose up at them over this; they seem like legitimately good guys. I'm not making fun of them and it was just a light hearted suggestion. Sorry if I offended you in some way.

No it wasnt really a question bc i have my own opinion about it but i was just wondering if anyone else had heard of this before. One of the other vendors had said it that i was tlking to, not BHB. And yea i saw brian there and woulda asked him but idk about the snakebytes video :p

I would have agreed with you right up until I saw the episode about "Satan the burm". It was then that I lost all respect for the intregaty of both BHB and snakebitestv. To get back on track to the original post, I have heard all the talk about dark morphsbeing aggressive. I had one breeder tell me that all the cinnies he hatched are super aggressive. Bur personally I think that any connection between morph and agression is purly coincidence.

Why did you lose respect for them after that?

It was for 2 reasons. First I watched Brian and his 2 idiot sidekicks jump around like complete A HOLES and intentionally provoke an obviously nervous snake for the sake of an exciting clip. The sort of stunt I would expect from an animal planet crap special. And second was the horrifically inadequate housing that he forces all those poor giants to live in. To some like myself the actions are offensive to say the least. To others they seem to be O.K. I guess the question that plagues me is; if it was some other breeder. Not the great BHB that there had been numerous accounts from the people involved(not my friends cousins uncle) that had sold might infested, badly kinked animals. Would any one be willing to defend there actions? For someone who built there reputation on being in this buisness/hobby for all the right reasons. I would have to say that the last year for BHB tells me that those years may be behind them and now reptiles are just about the bottom line.

I agree with you totally about the housing. Especially for such an aggressive snake. I would have her as a pet in a seperate enclosure thats easier to clean and maintain her in. Also as far as size of the enclosure yea bigger maybe would be better but i know there are some people that keep all there bps in 28qt tubs. To me an adult female deserves bigger than that but i guess everyone is allowed to do their own thing.
As far as them harassing the snake and jumping around...idk. She seems like a genuinely aggressive, ill tempered and nasty snake to me. I mean as soon as they opened the rack she started hissing. Once they put her back in she struck at brian again for no reason. It wasnt really defensive imo bc he wasnt coming at her face or anything and she was already safely back in her enclosure. Everytime he tried to pick her up she tried to bite him. Even aggresive snakes usually calm down a little bit. Now with all this said ill admit i have zero first hand experience with keeping big snakes but ive at least held them and they didnt come at me like satan lol.
