Actually with his age I am sure he is use to being handled a lot.
The only reason I would leave him be for 5 to 7 days is because of the regurge.

The older ones tend to be more relaxed when handling just because they have been around longer to get use to it.
If you daughter likes this one, just wait till she sees all the pretty colors they come in
