yep that's a ringer, I've never herd of one being proven genetic. There's got to be something going on with the ringers though, certain morphs throw them more often than others, pieds, cinny/black pastel come to mind. however it appears anything can throw them. if it was a female I'd pick it up, just something cool about them.

Here is a pic of the head and some body. Has some stuck shed but I can handle that.

What exactly is a ringer? Never heard of the term. Thanks.

Too bad my popping skills suck right now. I do have a probe kit that I have used a few times and can tell the difference between males and females that way.

A Petco in Burbank...but you won't find him/her there. I got it yesterday.

I know a lot of people would never buy a snake from Petco but this guy was only in there for a week. I was there a week prior to that and it wasn't on display. IMO he's in a better home now. The price I paid was similar to prices I saw at the Pomona show a month ago. If the tail weren't so interesting, I wouldn't have bought it there. I'll post more pics once he is settled in. I am still getting the Lesser too. Exciting week.

Kind of, mom and dad are pretty extreme...

I love to add snakes like that to my collection. You never know. Ringers and paradox animals are really cool and great to look at every day. Yours is pretty neat, enjoy him/her.

I see what you mean, those are more extreme. Nice offspring for sure.

You're right though, even if this guy/girl doesn't prove out, its still interesting to look at.

    Thanks.
