Re: What do you use as hides for your ball pythons?
I'm with Jerry, I generally don't use hides except for extremely picky/shy snakes, and they get an appropriate size box from the snack cabinet...free hides are the best if you ask me.

I use the cheapest bowls I can find for each of their sizes. I then solider an opening for them to access the hide from. It works great, easy to keep clean, and less than 50 cents each.

They do carry Reptile Basic hides now in the Oceanside store. I picked some up last week there.

Especially for balls too big for RBI smalls, and too small for their mediums. It would be nice if I could walk into your store and pick up something similar to the Reptile Basics hides.

They may not have as much shelf space as the other locations, so sometimes they take longer to come in and be placed out for sale.
FYI you can special order anything you see on our website into the store, without paying extra for shipping. We are limited on space in the retail locations, so not every store carries every item listed online. As long as you order it by Tuesday, you'll get it in our store order of Friday that week! If you know what size and quantity you want, just prepay for em to guarantee you get exactly what you want!

I use old shoeboxes for my adults, until they destroy them or poo on them. And old organizer trays with an opening melted out for the babies.
I'm getting sick of looking at these though, so when I have time, I'm going to make these -
