As long as the cat didn't get him too hard, his scales will have protected him just like from a rat. If you do find any scratches though, straight to the vet for antibiotics! Don't mess around with cat bites or scratches, they can get infected almost instantly. I nearly lost one of my feet from an infected cat bite, and I only waited one day to see a doctor.
Enough of that! He's fine, he's back safe and sound and warm where he belongs. However, since he figured out he could get out once, he'll be trying his hardest to do it again for about a week. So weight the lid if you have to, and remind everyone the snakes are off limits unless YOU get them out.

No kidding! Tub is extra closed, haha, picking up some C-clamps from the hardware store after work to replace the phone books, and I'm working on a small sign thing to put on ALL the tubs with a warning. Found a vet in the area who can do a quick check up on him as well. I'd rather pay for an unnecessary visit than have a sick snake later. Since I have no idea how long he was out I figure it won't hurt. SO relieved to have him back though!
I'll update again after work when I can get a closer look at him, home for lunch break because I could help checking up on him and he's been at his water bowl the whole time. Also wanted to thank everyone again

So glad you found him!
I was going to suggest using the cat! With my 4 escapes, I've always watched the cats very closely and they've led me right to the snakes. My cats aren't brilliant but just staring at an end table for hours is unusual even for them

Yay!!
You can always count on kitties (and occasionally dogs) to help you find those lost snakes... I didn't even know my Hognose had escaped once, until I heard a loud commotion, and found my cat standing over her in the middle of a room. Luckily I caught them just in time, but poor Charlotte (the snake) was all hissy & freaked out for a while afterwards. And when I lost two feeder mice last week, the dog & cats helped me track them down within 2 days - one perfectly alive, the other one not so much. Anyway, I'm glad you found him!
