I'm going to make an unboxing video and take quite a few pictures. So I'll be posting those up as soon as I get home with her.
Just wondering, am I supposed to open the box at the FedEx hub to make sure she made it? Or do I wait till I get home? Does that matter?
(Of course I will want to open it immediately. But the only reason I'm picking her up is to save her the delivery truck ride. My last by mail baby was over four hours late. )
I would open the box there AND in front of the employee that hands her to you to make sure that she made it safe and sound into your hands. God forbid something does happen to her on her trip home you would want to prove that it happened while in FedEx's hands. Of course that's just me. I've seen the damage that can be inflicted during shipping.

Thank you again! I was wondering about that because I had heard from someone else before that they opened the box right in front of the employees when they got to the hub. I assumed that was why. Hope that employee is not afraid of snakes! Lol. I also hope she doesn't decide to bite me on her way out of the bag.

If there is any damage to the packaging or snake, that has to be addressed between the shipper and FedEx, which is why it is important to document the the opening of the box either by photos or video, and notify the seller as soon as possible by e-mail of the successful arrival, or of any problems. It is also a good idea to save all e-mails for 30 days, in case there are any issues with the animal that need to be resolved. As far as opening it at the hub, that is up to you, but if you do, I would suggest just discreetly opening it enough to verify that the snake is alive or waiting until you get it in the car.

I already want another one
Couldn't you just remove the bag and feel for movement without opening it?

Re: Finally! Getting a BCI!
I could just open the box and check the bag. I'll just do that if I open the box there. That way I don't freak the people out.
Sadly, she is not in my hands yet. I called him today to confirm he was shipping today and he said it wasn't warm enough today. But was supposed to warm up tomorrow. I can't pick her up Wednesday though, so he's shipping her Wednesday and I will have her Thursday. I can't believe I have to wait another two days! But I'd rather know she was safe, and that is the most important thing.

If you meant what morph? She's a Monster Tail. It's the Boaphile's line (Jeff Ronne).
