New Arrival Didnt Eat,How Long Untill I should Offer again?

so last night i had a extra f/t so i tried him on it, and he struck but didn't grab it. So i put a live hopper in with him and he didn't really seem all that interested? Any tips? im getting a little worried because this guys young and i don't want him off feed. Im positive my husbandry is spot on, because i keep all of my other balls the same way and they thrive. I really do not want to start assist feeding, but he's looking a bit skinny and i think ill have to if he doesn't eat soon. Tips?

Its been like 2 weeks since he ate.... Im getting worried with a snake this small...

how long do you guys think i should wait till i need to assist feed? And how long till i offer again now because after leaving him alone for like 10 days, he still didnt eat... the guy who sold him said he ate atleast 3 times and last ate on the 11th how much longer can he go without eating?

I'd wait another week, just leave him alone. He can go a while without eating, so I wouldn't get too worked up yet, but at 71 grams, a snake that has eaten at least 3 meals on it's own should be slamming food. I'd offer food weekly, and if he goes 4-5 weeks without eating, I'd start thinking about assist feeding.

just leave him totally alone for a week. Only open the tub to refill water until then. No handling until he eats. You may also want to throw a towel or something over the tub to make him feel more isolated and secure. And it's perfectly fine to leave a pk or ft rodent overnight. Sometimes, the funk of the warm dead mouse sitting there long enough will tempt them enough to eat.

Your Stressing the snake out. You posted this thread on the 19th, 11 days ago, In that time frame you should of only had one offering from the last refusal.

The more you stress,and keep pushing food in the face, the more itll back off. Wait 7 days, Do not Look at it, touch it. Add water when needed and thats it,

Go get a live fuzzy mouse, drop it in at night time and leave it there till the morning.

I only offered the one live hopper within 12 hours of offering a extra f/t i had left over, and only because he struck at the f/t one. And ill try that in a few days considering i just offered 2 days ago. Your making it sound like im throwing a live hopper in his hide every day. Im not a beginner i know not to touch him or look at him and i know not to throw food at him. Ive gotten 25 of my own babies to eat fine the last 3 years, just the first time im having trouble with one.

I have offered two times since this thread started. One 2 days after i posted the thread based on advice and once yesterday its not like im throwing a mouse in there every day. Also the first time was a f/t overnight witch other people that advised is just fine.

if he struck the FT i would have kept it in there with him.. if if you have tongs dangle it and shake it just a little as if it were alive and kicking..
