Panick Attack! Help!

It's now been 24 hours since Baloo went into the lap desk. I have it inside her cage, the heat lamp is on and I've even tried enticing her with a mouse, as suggested, but she is still in there. I can see her and she's alive and moving so I guess it's just going to be a waiting game. Hmm I wonder how many times she wandered in and out while I was at work last night. I can almost imagine her giggling impishly as she peeks out to see if I'm watching. hehe

I have no doubt at all that she's getting her kicks watching you freak out.

When my Iggy was new and small, I got her a stupid "hollow tree" thing at PetSmart.

She loved it but one day, the little hussy went in it and turned herself around and looked "trapped".

I totally freaked out.

Hubby and I tried everything to "free her" and when I saw that she was quite ably contorting herself around to avoid coming out, I realized she was not "trapped" at all.

She was just being a jerk.

Dripping cold water on her butt sure changed her mind quick and she zipped right out.

BPs are evil.

Well it looks like she has a nice hide that shes really enjoying. That's a good thing. No seriously be happy you know where she is and she's secure in her cage. Just take care if the tank as usual and ignore her. You pestering is only going to keep her in there longer. Keep things as destressed as normal. It could take a week or two but I bet she'll come out within another day or so. It'll be at night. Where she's most comfortable. Just ignore her. She's alright.

Yea I'm not panicking anymore. I can see that she's fine and can move around freely. I figure she'll come out when she's hungry if nothing else. I know most people would be annoyed by this situation but I am even more charmed by her now. I just love animal's with character.
