Noted. And it's a constant discussion for us.
I agree with the layout. It seems a little cluttered to me and I've been thinking of new ways to lay out the site so it's cleaner and easier to find what you're after.
Pretty valid point. But it would ruffle feathers if we removed one or the other.
Yes, I like the darker themes as well - however, I see room for improvement
No, actually that's not a bad idea at all. BP.net started as just a Ball Python forum, but through numerous requests and the inevitable evolution of the forum, it's turned in to much more. That's why our slogan is "ALL your herping needs"
I do like the idea of breaking things down into more quickly accessible core categories. I also really like the idea of being able to filter out posts in forums you're not really interested in. I'm going to look deeper into that.
Keep the suggestions coming. Feedback is how our forum grows and evolves into a community that you enjoy and appreciate being a part of.
Thanks everyone
can hybrids fit in there somewhere?

I agree.. hybrids even if not everyone agrees could be a good add. My favorite snake, (besides the spider BP) is a Borneo Bateater. And I know I'm not alone!
Just Because it Ball Python. Net, doesn't mean you have to be limited to just that.

I'd like to third the hybrids section idea, it's a little awkward when threads come up because it's usually out of place wherever it was put. It may make some people upset, but it gives members interested in hybrids and hybrid projects a place to post and discuss outside of the places where people might object to it. I realize it might also make it more targeted for people intent on discouraging hybrids, but it keeps it contained in one place at least.
I use the main page a lot (more recent threads) to keep a pulse on what's going on in general on the site while I'm browsing, but it is a bit cluttered. Don't know how else to improve it or streamline it though, so it's just a comment at this point. Still works fine of course.
Love the site period, there's no way to make it perfect with as many members and the sheer amount of content on here, but it's as close as we can get with an awesome community. Keep up the good work

I love this site! I belong to redtailboas.net and moreliaviridis.com too and have to say, boas are my first love, not balls (sorry! ). But THIS is the forum I come to again and again multiple times every day. I visit the others only once or twice a week. I like the forum and the community here best. So please don't get rid of anything that doesn't have to do with balls! Making clearer categories for easier navigation is fine - but don't get rid of them!
My suggestion comes from my sugar glider forum. Perhaps the tabs along the top of the pages could have drop downs? So we could more easily navigate to any forum or subforum from where ever we currently are? Maybe I'm kinda archaic, lol, but for instance, when I'm done reading this thread, I'll use the back button to go back to Site Info or click the tab to go back to Site General or click the forum tab to go to the main forum. But those are my only 3 options. It would be nice to, say, drop down from the forum tab and choose, say, the Red Tail Boa forum. Just a thought and hope that makes sense.
Otherwise, you guys are doing great and thanks for maintaining such an awesome site!!!
