    Vacuum Advice?

Looking for vacuum advice. Anyone have one they absolutely love? Anyone have one they wish they could go Office Space on and beat to death? Anyone have the coveted Dyson AND love it? Anyone had it for like a year and STILL love it? Consumer Reports recommends Dyson DC28 Animal and Hoover WindTunnel T Series Rewind, but Amazon reviews are less than thrilling.

Hoping to get some input here! Thanks everyone!

We've had our Dyson for around 5 years now I think? Never had a problem with it until recently when the hose ripped... little bit of duct tape fixed that though.

I got a Dyson for Christmas.

I cannot believe the crap that was in my "clean" carpet that the Dyson got. The only downside so far is the fact that the canister is very small, and at least in my zoo of a house, it needs to be emptied more often.

However, the fact that it pulls at least 20 times the stuff out of my carpet than ANY other vacuum I have owned, more than makes up for that.

My Dyson is 7 years old and I still love it. No trouble, no issue and it sucks as good as it did on day one!

    Re: Vacuum Advice?

I have had my dyson for at least five years. The only problem I had was a broken belt that cost about ten bucks. It still works as good as the day we got it and we have a ton of furry animals in our home. It gets used at least four times a week. Never buy anything again that's not a Dyson

Dysons are ok, but if you have the money and want a really good vacuum then get a Kirby. This difference between a Kirby and a Dyson is as big if not bigger than the difference between a Dyson and a cheapo hoover or bissel. There is a vacuum store that posted results of their pretty indepth comparason of a top of the line dyson vs a used kirby and the kirby killed it in every performance test. But like I said, they are very pricey and you could by 2 or 3 dysons for price of one kirby.

    Nope and nope!

I had one of those expensive Kirby's. Took me forever to pay it off. Was a piece of junk from day one. It died within 2 years. Never waste my money with one of those things again. My new Dyson can run circles around that Kirby, even when the Kirby was new.
