if i buy a BEL from someone who doesnt know what morph the parents were how will i know what the babies will be? will they only be whatever the parents were? or could they be any of the morphs that make BELs?

No way to tell could be any combination of lesser, butter, mojave ect. Unless you know the parents there is no way to know for certain.

So i ask you are you a gambling man?

    Re: Bel?

I wouldnt buy one from a breeder who doesn't even know how he produced the BEL. Buy from a more responsible breeder.

Correct, the offspring can only be whatever the BEL was made from.

If it was Lesser X Mojave then all offspring will be lessers or mojaves.

    Re: Bel?

Well from what I've seen, there are ways to tell the difference. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Super Lessers or Super Butters produce white BELs (sometimes with bug eyes)
Super Mojave have the dirty greyish head
Super Russos have a faint white line along the spine
Lesser/Mojave BELs Pure white, with a faint yellowish line along the spine as they age.
Lesser Pied produce the whitest BEL, with small black eyes
Super Fire (Black Eye Lucy) Can produce all white snakes with black eyes, sometimes with orange/yellowish patches

There are other ways to produce BELs....But I'm not familiar with it. Good luck!!

I think when you breed a Mystic to a BEL, you'll probably get a mystic potion...right?

First of all if your buying a bel from someone and they dont know what made it I would think twice. And you can tell on some bel's what the parents were for instance super mojave's look different than super lessers and so on, it would only be hard to tell if they are crossed, for instance butter/lesser. Also you should be able to tell what the babies are especially if they are mojave but I suppose it may get more difficult when you get into the lesser/butter situation.
