Difference between a good eater and a bad eater

I got this trio of snakes back in late May...
1.0 Pastel
0.1 Mojave
0.1 Spider
all 2010's all started at around 400g I think the spider female had a 50-70g lead on the other two.

Well the pastel and mojave have been picky and infrequent eaters. The mojave went on a 3 month fast and wouldnt eat ANYTHING. She just now got on a regular feeding schedule and eats weekly. The pastel eats every other week or so...either he takes the meal or he doesnt...hes a pill with frozen/thawed.
The spider on the other hand has not missed a single feeding unless in shed.
So now they look like this...

1.0 Pastel 500g
0.1 Mojave 550g
0.1 Spider 950g

What a difference in these snakes! Im so proud of the spider, she has grown into such a big girl and is easily one of my favorites of all my snakes. Cant wait to see what she'll be at come breeding on her 3rd year.

This has nothing to do with sex really.
Ive had males grow at faster rates than females before.
Im showing what a difference a great eater can make.
Of course it does depend on the individual snake but a good eater should have a steady growth rate.
I just like that I have a '10 at 900g

Beat me to it.... I have 0 spiders that dont eat like crazy. I actually keep alot of spider projects because I know the females will grow like crazy because they all EAT LIKE CRAZY

I hear you. I bought 3 '10 girls at Tinley, they were all about the same size, and now a year later two of them are about 700 grams and the mojave just broke 1k!

Yeah my Jan '11 Spider is a pig she is over 1000g.... I put her on "diet" she doesn't get leftovers as often but I think she hates me a little for it.
