Maybe it's just me but I've had bad experiences with pesticides so I don't like to use them inside their actual enclosure. I use pam on the rack minus the tubs and soak the tubs every week with bleach so they're clean and nothing has time to grow in there, any bugs outside the tubs get taken care of by the pam but the reptiles don't come into direct contact with it. I use reptile relief to take care of mites on the snake and as a preventative since it seems safer and I've never has a problem with it before. I haven't used pam inside the tubs since one of my snakes developed tremors after using it following the directions and letting it air out all night before the snakes went back. Most snakes are fine with it but they're individuals and like people some are more sensitive to chemicals than others and I'm paranoid about them so it makes me feel better not to expose them to it.
