What do you think dogs dream about?

Sometimes it looks to me like mine are running and other times they growl or whine in their sleep. I tend to wake them if they seem like they are having a bad dream

No idea, but Loki even does sleep barking. Tiny little woofs and grunts and snorts. Sometimes he'll even jerk a bit, like he's in a fight (I wake him up from those dreams, and he always looks thankful).

It does make one wonder on the nature of dreams, if dogs can do it.

we've seen/heard a friends elderly female rottweiler fart in her sleep then heave a big heavy sigh...& shortly afterwards we all bolted from the room to escape the wafting odor circulating in the air.
