    Re: shed not coming off.

Ok people. Let's all chill out and take a breather. Jasonx, seriously, you need to just let that little snake be for a while. Let's not turn this thread into a fighting match please. Skiploder is just trying to give you advice here. I trust his advice because he knows a lot about these snakes. I promise you that your snake will shed when it is ready.

When you are finished throwing your little tantrum, see if you can't see the common theme here.

    Here, I'll help you out.

Leave your snake alone and let it do it's thing.

You are now taking it out of it's enclosure and taking photos of it? For the umpteenth time, leave the poor animal alone.

BTW: I got a kid your age - if I caught him spamming threads and picking internet fights (this ain't the first one you've picked) I'd take away his computer access for three months.

You need a major attitude check kid, I hope one of your parents is checking on your online activity and corrects you accordingly.

Jasonx, people are taking time to help you and to give their more experienced advice. Skiploder merely pointed out that you're making multiple threads of the same topic, which is unnecessary, and that you seemed to be ignoring advice given to you. No need to fly off the handle at him or anyone else. You said this is your "first snake", so why not listen to the veterans here who've owned hundreds of snakes or are possibly even some of the most well-known breeders in the world? We've all gone through bad sheds and we know how to deal with them. I know this is gonna set you off, but the experienced people kinda DO have a right to tell you how it's done, because they DO know how it's done.

We post because we want to help, not because we want to make you look stupid. You're obviously concerned about your snake, so why not follow the advice? I know it's hard to not help, but snakes are solitary creatures; he'll get through a stuck shed. The only thing you might have to do is give him a 30-minute soak. After that, just let him do his thing.

From what I saw it wasn't yelling, it was annoyance of the fact that you were blatantly disregarding helpful and good advice.

As for the smart-aleck part, when asking for advice you need to lose the 'tude and learn to listen. Sometimes when people tell you the things you don't want to hear, or in a way you don't wanna hear, doesn't give you a right to curse them out or be rude back.

No more name calling or inappropriate language is going to be tolerated in this thread. Choose your words wisely.

You are coming off as a punk, Jason. Back away from the keyboard and actually read what people are saying about you and your behavior.

You are embarrassing yourself. Show a modicum of maturity and not only heed the advice that's been given to you, but show the Forum that your parents didn't raise a snotty-nosed brat. At your age, your obsessive and sometimes abusive behavior reflects bad on not only you, but your parents.

Even if you refuse to recognize the embarrasment you are bringing on yourself, ask yourself what your mother or father would think if they saw what you are posting and the manner in which you are behaving. If you can't muster up the self-respect to control yourself for your sake, control yourself for theirs.

Skip has more experience than most his advise is always good and correct, backed by fact not guessing.

The shedding process is usually 10-18 days depending. Often the first signs are missed as they are subtle. Stress can lead to poor incomplete sheds, mucking about with your animal is not helping and likely making a small issue, bigger. Make sure the humidity is 60-70% and give him ten days and see what happens. Pulling off shed early can damage the new skin underneath and start a second shed cycle.

    Re: shed not coming off.

    Jasonx,

I would suggest doing what they "tell" you to do. Obviously you could choose not to do it but you would hurt your snake making a matter worse than it is. Your snakes health is more important than accusing people.

    Skiploder,

You posted back. Obviously, in a way, you were probably wanting a rant. If you would have let his ranting post alone the subject would have subsided a lot quicker. In a sense you fed the fire per-say. I am not bashing on you I am just giving an opinion based on what I saw.

    Thanks,

    RJ
