Thanks to all of you for your replies!!! But as far as im concerned... you cant hit a morph by crossing the caramel to another morph right? You would get double hets? Is there any morph that crossing directly with caramel hits a new morph?

No. Caramel is recessive. Crossing it to a codom will give you a codom het caramel and normal het caramel. Crossing with another recessive will produce double hets.

If you want to hit a combo from the Caramel, you need to find a morph male that is also Het Caramel. Maybe a Mojave Het Caramel, Cinny Het Caramel, Pastel Het Caramel (not my fav combo, but probably less expensive to find a Pastel Het Caramel male than some others), you get the idea.

    Hope this helps,
    Shelly

Even if you just get a male thats not het caramel, you're really not that far behind when it comes down to it. With a proven female caramel already in your posession, breeding say, an enchi male to her would give you enchi het caramels. Then just the next breeding season you could breed a male enchi het back to her and get your enchi caramel. When it comes to recessives the female is the deciding factor in my eyes on a project I want to go with. If I have an adult visual female its cheaper and not so long term as it would cut down the time at least a year or 2 rather than starting the project with a visual male. Although if you're in that much of a rush, go for the codom het caramel.

Personally I'd like to see the enchi caramel...maybe a spotnose caramel...
