I don't really think it's all the shocking. Most of us here do love and respect our snakes, but everything needs to eat. Those f/t rats you are feeding to your snakes had to die to become f/t food. There are plenty of members here who love rats and still feed like to their snakes. Also not all snakes will take f/t. I have two that will not take f/t no matter how hard I try so I feed them live. I don't think that's cruel at all, to me it's much better than watching my pet slowly starve to death, which would be cruel.

I understand they had to die, I am not that naive. I origianlly posted thinking the King Cobra was fed a live ball Python, after experiencing some bad stuff I tend to assume the worst. If the Ball Python died before hand, thats fine then. It is easy to feed snake eating snakes rodents, wrap them in a little snake skin. What I use to do when I kept venomous.


And RyanT, you have no room to talk. You were one who sided with someone who ripped out live Rats teeth before feeding.
