    It's a good thermostat for what you want ot use it for. You can use it on tank or tub. I am running 3 of them now and they are within the +/- 2 degrees as advertised. You will have to find your set point depending on your setup.

    It does not matter if one is using a $150 or a $30 thermostat there should be a backup system of some sort. Electronics no matter the cost can fail.
