We baby out snakes way more than they get if they are on their own in the wild. Yes, a good rat bite can kill a BP but I am also sure they have been feeding and getting bit for hundreds of years
Sometimes I think we just need to relax and let them do their thing
26 rats a week and no major bites and with live everyone eats or food gets put back in the rack so there is no waste.

Now to the OP. Like stated above if there is air leaking out of the hole when your snake breathes then get it to a vet. Depending on where the bite is ( pic would be nice) the rat could have bitten into the trachea, however if it just got the underside of the mouth ( think about it like having an injury to you cheek, yes you would need stitches but you won't lose enough air out of it to hurt you ) just keep it clean.
