My mom was the same way when I was growing up! I did not know that you could get snakes as pets. My dad let me keep the ones I caught in a barrel behind our barn. My mom looked in it one day and said that their was about 50 snakes in the barrel and freaked. I don't remember it because I was so young. My mom still loves to tell the story

She has adjusted to my collection now (Years later). She even called me the other day saying that their was a snake in her flower bed and wanted to know if I wanted her to catch it for me Give your dad some time, and I'm sure he will come around

Haha, thats funny. I used to be completely afraid of snakes, and I went to the pet store one day and was determined to get over it, so I asked to see one of the younger balls, fell in love right away. now I cant get enough of them.

As far as parents, my dad isnt afraid of them, he just doesnt care for animals much, my mom on the other hand had a 6 foot black rat snake when she was a teenager. so she loves this little girl.
