were you feeding live or frozen thawed? rodents can have mites as well. they wont bother reptiles. they are different from reptile mites. if you were feeding frozen thawed then they wouldnt have come from the rodent. if you have reptile mites i would soak your ball in luke warm water and completely scrub down his enclosure and all accessories. switch to paper towel substrate until the mites are gone. get a proper mite treatment such as provent a mite or black night. follow the directions and repeat 15-28 days later as mites breeding cycle is 28 days long. do a little more research and you will find all you need to know to rid yourself of these nasty critters.

p.s. dont use any chemicals on your snake until he has had time to digest his food. also don't use them if he is in shed or within 24 hours of him shedding
