there are many threads about mites on this forum. many of them say to use a product called Provent-A-Mite. this is a spray that will kill all of the mites and eggs. you should take all of the furniture out of the enclosure and wash them very well in hot water and dish soap. you should remove the current substrate and replace it with paper towels. then give your snake a good washing. DO NOT spray your snake with Provent-A-Mite, as it could kill your snake.

here is a link to Provent a mite (also known as PAM): http://www.pro-products.com/index.ph...d=53&Itemid=59

were you feeding live or frozen thawed? rodents can have mites as well. they wont bother reptiles. they are different from reptile mites. if you were feeding frozen thawed then they wouldnt have come from the rodent. if you have reptile mites i would soak your ball in luke warm water and completely scrub down his enclosure and all accessories. switch to paper towel substrate until the mites are gone. get a proper mite treatment such as provent a mite or black night. follow the directions and repeat 15-28 days later as mites breeding cycle is 28 days long. do a little more research and you will find all you need to know to rid yourself of these nasty critters.

p.s. dont use any chemicals on your snake until he has had time to digest his food. also don't use them if he is in shed or within 24 hours of him shedding
