    Grounded plugs add an extra layer of protection. Here's an example for you: You have an un grounded system on a metal shelf system and there's a chance you can electrify the shelving and ruin your day if you touch it because you become the ground. Also a grounded system can use power strips as they are grounded for protection as well. The bottom line is $10 extra is well worth the add protection.

    But if that thing ur plugge into is ungrounded ur terminal is not doing ANY THING

    Yes it is actually. The electrical components inside the herpstat are protected as well as the device itself. Does this effect your snakes... no but it does protect your $150 investment.
