I'm in your boat regarding craftsmanship, but I think you should look at the RBI juvenile racks. they're around $230 or $240 for a 16-tub juvenile rack. that's pretty hard to beat, even if you're a skilled carpenter given the quality of materials and space they provide. also not having to worry about the proper amount and wattage of flexwatt counts for a lot.

what kind of set-ups are you using now? you could keep whatever you have currently and just incorporate the baby rack when needed.

My rack now just flat out sucks. Its a plastic storage rack from lowes, I cut the legs down but it sits crooked, its run off heat cable which I despise and it just plan doesn't work the way I want it to. I mean yes my temps are fine, but its just a plain old eyesore. I really much rather have flexwatt as its better imo, and something that I won't worry about falling apart. Plus it only has space for either 3x 32-34qt tubs or 6x 15s.. I think I may go with the juvi rack and maybe a breeder sized one too. I do like how you can add hides tp the order at a cheaper price from RBI.

I just might. I won't be ordering for a few months but they do look nice. Do they come preassembled?

I bought one of the Boaphile 5 slots that came with the dividers and fully assembled. Plug in the thermostat and go. I had it shipped with the 32 qt tubs. I picked up a couple of hatchlings a few weeks ago and have one of the shelves with the divider and 15 qt tubs ready for them after QT time. So far i am very happy with this setup. Mine was shipped sooner than the estimated time. I called and ask questions a couple of times before I purchased and had no issues with cs. The RBs are nice to but I wanted 5 slots instead of 4...By the time you figure the price per slot they are close to the same price because you have to add 20 to the rbi for belly heat.

So it looks like I'm going to get a Iris CB-70 adult rack for my male mojave and future normal breeder female, with room for one more adult if I feel compeled. ill rock that for a bit then I'm going to get a 16 tub baby/juvi rack for my future hatchlings and grow outs. Ill be getting these from RBI as they have the best price for the money after looking. I just can't afford boaphile racks and cages. I'm also going to get and try out the new ve-300x2 tstat. In the words of borat " I very excite! " ;p

Animal plastics. A little time and a screw driver...rack is awesome.
The heat tape is wired for you, you just have to run it through the channels that are in the shelves. Not hard.
