I would guess she ate them and is FULL or she had complications getting them out and is reabsorbing them. Its impossible for rodents to have litters week after dropping one.

She ate all but three? I don't think she would stay this fat for a week.

youd be surprised when they over eat... Shes not preggo ready to drop only after 8 days.. takes min 21 days for babies to develop

I'm afraid she could have had problems during birth, maybe one baby got stuck in the birth canal. Would explain the only 3 babies.
She probably won't be able to reabsorb the babies at that stage and might die without a vet. That yellowish thing in her vagina may already be pus.

Hey rich.. Could it be possible 3 were premature? And the rest to term? Just curious.
To the op. Why did u tale out the male?

Rodents dont do premature birthings.
And yes NEVER take males out with ASF as females will kill the male when reintorduced. Had this happen few times when i tried to control quantity.

yeah i was going to ask you ... why take out the male? Don't do that. And I'm gonna guess a baby got stuck as well, or she is just really full.

Hmmm. I guess we'll have to see what happens. I've had this breeding group for 4 months with no results so i went and bought some new fresh blood. The reason I took the male out is because he was having problems of his own. Had to be put out of his misery. I bought him with only 3 legs and then he started to bleed really bad out of one ear. So I figured that was the best thing to do. I hope I don't loose her too, but I can't afford a vet for an animal that cost me $1. She'll just have to become BP dinner.

If that is the route you go, hope there is a female and male in those 3 unless you can always get asf's.
4mths as a breading group is about the time they take to start breeding from babies. Really would suck if mom is suffering right now, I would give it a couple of days to see if she gives birth again and watch closely at her behavior and then use your judgement then decide.
Some of mine have only had 3 the first time then went on to have bigger as they matured, others have had big litters the first time.
