is this a good setup for my new ball?

I recenly went to a texas reptile expo and purchased a hatchling ball. Shes about a foot and a half and is very healthy with an experienced breeder. I have her in a 20 tall with an under tank heater the room is at about 75 to 80 and the hot side is heated by the uth to 89ish. i have a buried soak bowl(also his water bowl) and spray the cage every day, and also put one of those tupperware with suptrate and holes in it(wet sub of course) as a humid emitter and aspen bedding in the cage. the top has a towel and another towel covering 90% of the top. no lights... is this good? Also i fed her yesterday she had a very good response.

Quick question....

Do you have that little humidity that you have to mist everyday and use the tupperware? Too much moisture can lead to many other issues. Most only keep humidity up like then when they are shedding. Mine is in the basement thats is 60-75% all the time so they are just on newspaper and perfect sheds every time.

First I would get a good Digital Thermo/Hydro meter $12 at walmart for the acu-rite with a probe. This way you can see what your temps and humidity are acu-ritely . Also make sure you have 2 identical hides for thermal regulation. I prefer the 20 long allows for better thermo gradient. And Pics would be very helpful

nah im in texas and the humidity is always pretty hot 10 to 20 percent max. what should i do? spray? emitter? what? and im getting a hydrometwr asap.

This will all depend on your humidity. You can do all the above if really needed. I live in southern AZ, I only need to spray when they shed. Using my Acurite hydrometer ($12) it states I have around 50-60% humidity in my tubs. I use regular cereal bowl sized water dishes for my 28qt tubs and dog bowls for my 41qt tubs. That's all it takes for me. You can adjust your techniques depending on your findings.

my room is 10 to 20 percent humidity at all times. im guessing i just have to get that hydrometer and see... so really just spray when there shedding then? alright. should i still leave the emitter in or will the water bowl suffice

keeping the water bowl at the warm end of the tank tends to make the humidity good enough for me.

Make sure you get the thermometer/hydrometer.. Very useful!

i have a thermometer... its about 90 on the warm end so ill just do what you said. did i cover the top correctly..?

Oh, right! My bad! I just bought mine with the hydrometer attached so I always mention them together. woops.
