Two Questions
Hey experienced snake owners, a couple of things are bothering me about my ball. I fed him one mouse last week, and two this week, and he still hasn't pooped. Is that bad? I've heard letting him soak in warm water?
Second, he's been making this...popping? noise. Maybe a cracking. It's a small subtle noise I hear when it's quiet and he's moving around on my arm or hand, intermittent but there. Is that normal? Or a sign of something?
On an I have no idea if it's related note, he's been more social and friendly last few days then ever. When you put him down he'll come to you instead of going and finding a place to hide in the couch or wherever. Is this a sign of a good mood? Very active, lots of tongue flicking, not intimidated by just about anything, calm and social.
Thanks.

Young snakes don't poop that often, or often as you'd think rather. I wouldn't worry about it yet.
A popping noise could be sign of RI. Depends on what kind of pop.
Sounds like he is comfortable. Could be stressed though. Snakes can be challenging to read at first.

They don't poop all that often, unless you are feeding them a lot. Is he a fairly good size? I was just curious since you switched to two mice rather than just one.
As far as the popping, that can be a sign up a respiratory infection, or he could have some stuck shed on his nose. Definitely keep a close eye on that.
And about him coming to you, I'm guessing he does it for heat.

Re: Two Questions
Popping like popping your knockles or like farting?

Is it a popping noise from his breathing or crackly skin?
