I can't believe i read this thread and consider myself a little bit dumber for having done so.

I see a very confused little boy who is focused 100% on image ....dork.

We all had these sexually ambiguous manipulated boy singers in our youth. I see him as a Leif Garret in the making....only Canadian...

I'm not sure what the big deal is. Some teen boy gets a snake and wants to show it off. Isn't that what all teen boys do when they get their first snake?

I think that everyone being negative has no reason to be negative. And who says it was only for that night? Did you ask him? He's a boy and they like snakes. Get over it!

if she likes snakes no problem
but taking the poor animal to a damn award ceremony is a bit overdoing it right?
would be better is she spammed her facebookpage with snake pics or something

hey I’m offended by this. this is a public forum and you’re out there spreading malicious rumours that this kid is Canadian. what's next you going to try and tell people that Paul Chaffer is Canadian.

Trying to impress the girls with his snake, obviously it impressed a lot of people on the forum as this thread keeps on rolling along. I'd say he's gotten the reaction he was looking for. nuf said.

what i don't get is how the reptile community is generally against people bringing their snakes out into public.

    reasons being:

    1) it stresses the snake
    2) there's no need for it
    3) it makes people who are already fearful of snakes, for whatever reason, hate them even more

on threads like "can i bring my snake to the park?" or "i brought my snake to the lake with me and somebody ran away screaming! teeheehee wussies!"

    i see comments such as:

    1) "THIS IS HOW REPTILE PEOPLE GET A BAD NAME!!!"
    2) "NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF SNAKES"
    3) "it's not cool to bring your reptile outside, as it stresses them out"

yet when Justin Beiber does it, at a freaking AWARDS SHOW which, if i'm not mistaken, is an extremely crowded place, with musical performances and such. you don't think that stressed a snake out?

i'm SO SICK of the way celebrities are excused for things that normal people wouldn't be excused for.

i'm going to make a thread with the title "omg i brought my pet snake with me to the grocery store!" and the contents of the thread are going to say "someone asked me what kind of snake it was, and i said a burmese python. they asked how big it was going to get and i told them; just 4 feet!" and see what kind of responses i get...
