Some females I'm really looking forward to putting to work.

I really enjoy this time of the year. Its a time when snakes are eating me out of house and home, they are growing and females are starting to really put the size and weight on getting ready for breeding. So in that mind set I went through and looked to see which girls are going to be added to the breeding cycle this year. Here are a couple of the girls that we either bought or produce a few years ago. A couple of these girls are borderline but with a few more months of food they'll be well over where I like to see my females be to breed.

Now the trouble is to figure out what males to put with each female..

Nice, good luck! Do you keep them full time in those black tubs? Is there any problem as far as getting them a day/night schedule? Lastly, where do you get them? Sorry about the barrage of questions, I'm just curious. I really like how they look.

Because BPs are nocturnal anyways it is thought that 24/7 darkness actually stresses them less. Some ppl think that some don't. I haven't tried it but I don't think it would be a problem cause think about it... They sit in their hide all day (dark) then come out at Night (also dark) haha just my two cents

I've always wondered then why it's always suggested you need a day/night cycle. Possibly even though their in a burrow they can see a difference in the light. Like having all your blinds drawn, you still see the light just not as bright.

I believe with ball pythons, the important thing is that they're not in the light 24/7. If they're exposed to light, then it should be in a day/night cycle. But if it's dark all the time, I don't believe it causes any stress or harm.

EDIT: Oops! Forgot to add.....Gorgeous females, Ed! Can't wait to see some spectacular babies! I especially love that lesser! She is glowing already!!

Wish I had you dilemma!!!
I'm gonna have 2 normals and a granite ready to go this year.
Males are a pastel, spider, and possible granite
Dont know if I should rotate all 3 around or shoot for a super granite and keep those two exclusive to prove them both out
