Any good fishing Spots around NYC
I'm going to buy my license soon... (October)
But I heard You dont need one anymore for off shore fishing...
So What people catching here and what time a year.. and where ??

I'm asking because my whole USA fishing experience is limited to Florida... so far...

Im out in Long Island\Queens area and normally around october the striped bass come back in. The best fishing of the strippers is really in Jersey waters but Jamaica bay produces some really big sea cows. Average is 20-30 lbers with a 50 thrown in here and there. Long Beach\Oceanside waters are pretty good for bass as well. Basically all the good fishing spots require a boat so if you dont have one I would do a private charter. Black fish season starts oct 1st and you can pretty much do any charter boat and catch them. There a little hard to hook but they taste soo good. I dont mention blue fish bc i hate them with a passion.
