Looks like you could use a rack or two for all those tubs.

Must be a pain to have to unstack everyone to get to the bottom one.

The rats threw me off too. I don't think I could trust a free range rat. I'd be afraid they chew a wire.

I'm just wondering because I use binder clips along the sides of mine and I'm still always paranoid that it isn't enough haha Are the "latching lids" only secure for snakes up to a certain size?
I'm not sure about the ones in the photos, but a lot of new sterilite tubs come with a locking latch on each side that double for a handle.

Looks good, Tiff. I agree with MasonC2K, you need some racks! I used to stack tubs like you do and building a rack was definitely a smart move for us. I like the A. avic setup. Looks a lot like mine.

Never had a problem with our rats chewing on stuff. Stealing food off our plates is another matter. They insist on being involved in (or into) everything we're doing. They mainly just like to explore and be nosy.

A lot of people who keep pet rats will let them run free. They won't disappear like a hamster will.
