I have problems with humidity issues in my apartment (usually ~30% or so). I tried covering the screen top of my tank with foil and plastic, but found that covering about half of the top with a damp rag and moving my water dish over the UTH raised it to a constant 50% or so. Then, I can mist it when I feel like it and when shedding starts.

People will have different suggestions, but it worked well for me and caused me to not mist as often. Best of luck!
