I too am wondering how yall can stand those temps in your house too. We're originally from Alaska, so we like it cold. People around here think I'm crazy because I have yet to wear anything but shorts except at work, even in winter. After reading this I set out a digital thermometer in our bedroom while I browsed BP and its 63.7 with 81% humidity with the fan on high. I'm comfortable at the moment.

We have a separate room for our reptiles. All the vents closed off and a space heater to keep it at a constant temp. I can't stand to be in there very long. More than a few minutes and I start pouring sweat.

My indoor temps in winter dip below 65 at times.

With the right setups, your animals should be just fine. Frankly I don't like temps above 75, overheating is a much bigger problem than being too cool. The rhacs and panther cham don't like it if we let the indoor summer temps get too high.

Are you referring to yourself or your BPs with the above statement? Just want to clarify.

It was a joke. 90% of the people on this forum do not use heat lamps for their Ball Pythons.

Re: When The People You Live With Set The A/C TOO LOW!!

The parents put the AC to 68F Because they need it to be very cold in the house.
I am not paying the bills. but all my snakes are in tubs and i made a rack for them, the rack is black and it is my the window which is close but the sun in Florida is intense so the area they stay in is around 80-82. Right now it is 84F due to the Ac not being on since they are not home.

EDIT: Oh you guys are funny, our AC broke a while ago and for 3 months we were living in a no AC home. i have a small personal fan that kinda helps but temps are 80 and up in the house. I just took my clothes off and misted my dog. Windows closed and i was okay enough to do things like clean.I used to live in Vegas NV and Fontana CA. I grew up in the heat
