    Do they still have them black bugs in Florida, they called them "Love Bugs". They would always be locked together no matter what they were doing - landing, flying, on the ground. I haven't been to Florida in a few years but when I drove the 18 wheeler down there I would go thru swarms of them on the interstate. It would turn the front of the truck black and it was a PITA to get them washed off. Not good for the paint work either. I carried a few cans of PAM (no not Provent-a-mite ) to spray the front of the truck so they wouldn't stick.

    Oh, yes - they show up in swarms twice a year! The adults only live 3 days, but when you get thousands at a time, it can really do a number on your car's paint. You have to keep washing them off. Here's a vid - I hope it doesn't creep anybody out!
