Awesome story and awesome rescue! It's heartbreaking to hear just how cruel people can be to animals sometimes. I'm so thankful that we still have people like you and your husband in the world. Thank you for taking the time to share your story and for being who you are and saving your snake Welcome to bp.net

Thanks dark! I can't believe he has forgotten but he truly seems to have since he acts like a ball python now.

Della, I feel you there. If I stated what I would like to have stated, I wouldn't be a new member anymore either...lol

It never ceases to amaze me how horrible people can be. I got a normal female in January, because the manager of my mobile home park called me up. She was inspecting an empty trailer and found " a big snake". She called me because she knew I had snakes.

I was a little nervous, I was afraid I'd find a retic or something, but instead it's a half frozen normal ball python. These people moved out of their house, leaving her behind, knowing there would be no electricity and no heat, they left her there to freeze to death.

She came away with a massive RI, but was darn lucky to even be alive. She was pitifully thin on top of it all, and because she was sick, she wouldn't eat.

Took a few months of effort on my part, but she kicked the RI, started eating again, and will be providing my husband with some spider babies this fall hopefully.

I am glad you took that in Gale. That is just crazy. I just don't understand people sometimes. That snake was lucky you found it.

Thanks Quick. My husband and I are very proud of how far the snake has come.
