i check on them once, maybe twice a day and usually by day 3 they are done. mine typically went 24 hours but i usually left them together for 3 days and have them atleast 3 days apart.
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

Awesome lock! Just keep at it! Like others said, the breeding season is LONG. Just look at the scale of Markus Jaynes timeline and you should see the average rate of how long you can expect eggs. Since your breeding between natural seasons, I'm assuming you are cooling them at night? Its not a must from what I understand, but may be beneficial? Just a thought.

I cooled last year in october and bred not long after that(just before november) for a few months, doing 3 days in 3 days out for 4 weeks than he got about 8-10 days to rest. 7 months later, I found 7 eggs. The male stopped being introduced around feb/march. I got eggs in July. It was a big surprize. Wasnt expecting it at all. I thot she didnt take.

    This is a good start
A nice lock in a steamy environment.
When i look at oure snakes a typically lock takes 2 day's. Yours are fine. No problem if it takes longer. It's a greet feeling to see.
    Good luck this season.

I'm not cooling them artificially but the temp does drop a couple degrees in that room at night so their ambient temps would as well.

I know it's a long process but I'm sure those little faces poking out of eggs will be worth it come spring or whenever they come

They ended up locked for about 32hrs from when I first discovered to when I saw them separate. I'll be putting him back in thursday or friday.

Today was feeding day and he ate greedily and she was also out sniffing around when everyone else was getting dinner. I offered her a small rat and she took as well. Is it odd for her to eat right after they locked?

Put them back together on thursday morning and they're locked up again! I'm pumped! I need to find a way to track this on my phone. Are there any android apps or easy mobile sites for that?
